Exodus 2 and 3
By: Trei
Today I read Exodus 2 and 3. It was about Moses's mother hiding him in the ark. Pharaoh's daughter found him in the ark in the stream. She took him as her baby. Moses grew up,and he went up on YHVH's mountain, and an angel appeared to him in the bushes. There was fire on the bush, but the bush wouldn't burn up. YHVH said he would deliver them from Pharaoh.

Hosea 1,2,and3
By :Trei
Today I read Hosea 1,2,and 3. It was about how sinful Israel has been. YHVH said that Israel will not be his people, and he will not be their God, but he also said that they would again be his. YHVH told Hosea to marry a harlot. Hosea married a harlot named Gomer. That was symbolic of how adulterous Israel has been to YHVH. She bore a son, and YHVH told Hosea to call his name Jezreel. She had a daughter, and YHVH told Hosea to call her Lo-Ruhamah. She had a son, and YHVH told Hosea to call it Lo-ammi.

pagan origins of valentine's day--yucky
Did you ever wonder who sent the first Valentine's Day card?
The Catholic Church’s attempt to paper over a popular pagan fertility rite with the clubbing death and decapitation of one of its own martyrs is the origin of this lovers’ holiday. As early as the fourth century B.C., the Romans engaged in an annual young man’s rite of passage to the god Lupercus. The names of teenage women were placed in a box and drawn at random by adolescent men; thus, a man was assigned a woman companion, for their mutual entertainment and pleasure (often sexual), for the duration of a year, after which another lottery was staged. Determined to put an end to this eight-hundred-year-old practice, the early church fathers sought a "lovers’ " saint to replace the deity Lupercus. They found a candidate in Valentine, a bishop who had been martyred some two hundred years earlier.
In Rome in A.D. 270, Valentine had enraged the mad emperor Claudius, who had issued an edict forbidding marriage. Claudius felt that men made poor soldiers, because they were loath to leave their families for battle. The empire needed soldiers, so Claudius, never one to fear unpopularity, abolished marriage.
Valentine, bishop of Interamna, invited young lovers to come to him in secret, where he joined them in the sacrament of matrimony. Claudius learned of this "friend of lovers," and had the bishop brought to the palace. The emperor, impressed with the young priest’s dignity and conviction, attempted to convert him to the Roman gods, to save him from otherwise certain execution. Valentine refused to renounce Christianity and imprudently attempted to convert the emperor. On February 24, 270, Valentine was clubbed, stoned, then beheaded.
History also claims that while Valentine was in prison awaiting execution, he fell in love with the blind daughter of the jailer, Asterius. Through his unswerving faith, he miraculously restored her sight. He signed a farewell message to her "From Your Valentine," a phrase that would live long after its author died.
From the Church’s standpoint, Valentine seemed to be the ideal candidate to usurp the popularity of Lupercus. So in A.D. 496, a stern Pope Gelasius outlawed the mid-February Lupercian festival. But he was clever enough to retain the lottery, aware of Romans’ love for games of chance. Now into the box that had once held the names of available and willing single women were placed the names of saints. Both men and women extracted slips of paper, and in the ensuing year they were expected to emulate the life of the saint whose name they had drawn. Admittedly, it was a different game, with different incentives; to expect a woman and draw a saint must have disappointed many a Roman male. The spiritual overseer of the entire affair was its patron saint, Valentine. With reluctance, and the passage of time, more and more Romans relinquished their pagan festival and replaced it with the Church’s holy day.

Genisis41
By:Trei
Today I read Genesis 41. It was about how Pharaoh had two dreams. The first one was that there were seven good and fat cows, but seven skinny and bad cows came up out of the river and ate the fat cows, but you couldn't notice because they were still skinny. Pharaoh had another dream. It was that there were seven fat grain heads, but after them rose up seven bad grain haeds, and they devouered the good grain heads. So Pharaoh called all the magicians, but they couldn't translate it. Then the cupbearer told Pharaoh about how Joseph interprerted his dream. Then Pharaoh called Joseph to him, and he interprerted the dreams. So Pharaoh put Joseph in control of Egypt.

Genisis 40
By:Trei
Today I read about the chief baker's dream and the chief cupbearer's dream. The cupbearer's dream was that there were three grape branches, and they blossomed and brought forth grapes, and he squeezed them into Pharaoh's cup.The baker's dream was that there were three baskets on his head for Pharaoh, but the birds of the air ate all of it. The cup bearer stayed in prison for three days for the three grape branches and returned to his work, but the baker stayed in prison three days for the three baskets and got hung. The cupbearer forgot Joseph. I don't want to forget the people who helped me.

The book of Malichi
By: Trei
Today I read the book of Malachi. It was how the Israelites have sinned against YHVH so much. They defiled his temple by going and serving their false gods and then going to YHVH's temple. They gave the bad of the flock to YHVH. The spirit of Elijah is going to go around turning people to his ways. I want to obey YHVH with my whole heart.

Short study on pharmakeia
Are You Unknowingly Practicing Witchcraft? Some Information about Pharaceutics and Drugs.
Galations 5:19-21":Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told [you] in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." NKVJ
Galations 5:19-21"The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God." NIV
The Greek word translated here as " sorcery" and as "witchcraft" is the Greek word PHARMAKEIA. It is Zondervan’s Number 5758 : "witchcraft, magic, the use of spells and potions of magic, often involving drugs: -magic spell (1), witchcraft (1). It is Strong’s Number 5331:"medication ("pharmacy"), i.e. (by extens.), magic, sorcery, witchcraft.
This word pharmakeia comes from Strongs Number 5332 Pharmakeus; from pharmakon which means a drug, potion, a druggist or poisoner, a magician:--sorcerer.. Our English word Pharmaceutical comes from this Greek word Pharmakon and means "of pharmacy or drugs; Also pharmaceutic-n. a drug or medicine" (Webster’s New World Dictionary, 1990)
We are told in Galations 5:20 that whoever does this witchcraft of PHARMAKEIA will not enter the kingdom of God. Yahveh gives us other warnings in His word concerning this practice of witchcraft.
Revelations 9:20-21"But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries/drugs or their sexual immorality or their thefts." NKJV
The word translated here as sorceries and in sidesnotes as drug is the exact same word, pharmakeia,, Strong’s Number 5331.
Revelations 18:23 "The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived. " NKJV
Again, the word translated here as sorcery is Strongs Number 5331, pharmakeia. This time, we see that this sorcery of medication is an evil deceptive devise of Babylon, and it is commonly known by believers that we must come out of Babylon lest we be destroyed in her midst—Jeremiah 51:6: "Flee from the midst of Babylon, and each of you save his life! Do not be destroyed in her punishment, for this is YHVH’s time of vengeance; He is going to render recompense to her." Also see Isaiah 48:20, Jeremiah 50:8, and all of His prophecies concerning saving His people from Babylon and the judgment coming upon Babylon for the slain of Israel.
Many people argue that only witchdoctors do witchcraft—they believe that western medicine is pure and that that knowledge cames from YHVH. One must remember that in the garden of Eden, it was the enemy who tempted Eve and told her she could have more knowledge if she did it the enemy’s way and disobeyed YHVH by eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Look how that use of knowledge worked out; not all knowledge glorifies YHVH. What we must remember is that even the enemy has great power to try and deceive, even the elect if it were possible.
Revelations 13:11-14 Then I saw another beast coming up our of the earth and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make and image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived."
Revelations 16:14 "For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, go out to the kinds of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty."
2 Thessolonians 2:9-12 "The coming of the [lawless one] is according to the working of satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Exodus 7:11-12 "But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
Exodus 7:22 "Then the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments; and Pharoah’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as YHVH had said."
Please, dear brothers and sisters, take heed and seek YHVH on this issue with your whole heart, mind and soul, not leaning on your own understanding but stopping and truthfully begging Him to open all our eyes to the truth of this matter.
Psalm 95: 7-8 and Hebrews 4:7 "Today if you will hear His voice: "Do not harden your hearts,,
YHVH has made a covenant with us to be our healer, yet many do not believe in His promises nor are faithful to wait for Him to fulfill His Word. When we cry out to our Abba for mercy and healing and forgiveness(some sickness if linked to sin), He is faithful and just to hear us, but many don’t believe He’s hearing.
Luke 18:1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: "There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice from me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by continual coming she weary me.’" Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on earth?"
Hebrews 3:7-19: "Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: ‘Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, and saw My works forty years. Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’ So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’" Beware, brethern, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today, " lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: "Today if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed [was it] not all who came out of Egypt, [led] by Moses? Now with whom was He angry forty years? [Was it] not those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? And to who did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief."
In these end days as we the restoration of Israel and Yahveh’s purposes and prophesies come to pass, we know He is restoring us to His ways and trying to teach us His truths. We have inherited lies from our fathers as the scripture says, and He desires us to recognize all the lies. He will bring us to the wilderness and make us pass under the rod for inspection; the rebels do not get to enter the land.
Ezekiel 20: 33-38 :As I live," says the Lord GOD, "surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, I will rule over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead My case with you face to face. Just as I pleaded My case with your fathers in the wilderness in the land of Egypt, so I will plead My case with you, " says the Lord GOD. " I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me: I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I [am} the LORD"
In these end days, let us cry out to Yahveh for His truth and His healing. He will not share His glory with another—Isaiah 42:8. Let us believe His Word, believe in His power and believe that He will be who He will be—Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh—Exodus 3:14. Let us not perish in the wilderness for a lack of disbelief—please, YHVH, forgive us for our disbelief and increase our belief and faith.
If we are sick, let us cry out to YHVH for His healing, look to Yeshua who bore all our sins and hurts, let us call upon the elders in the body to anoint us with oil and pray over us in the name of YHVH. The prayer of faith will save the sick scripture says. If we have sinned, let us confess and pray for forgiveness, so we may be forgiven. James 5: 13-16. Let us seek YHVH and not commit the same mistake as King Asa in 2 Chronicles 16:12-"And in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa became diseased in his feet, and his malady was severe, yet in his disease he did not seek the LORD, but the physicians."
The woman in Mark 5:25-34 suffered many things at the hands of the physicians scripture says; however, Yeshua HaMashiach set her free and truly healed her as only He, the Creator of her, could do!
As a disciple of Yeshua, we have a commission from Him regarding healing the sick.
Matthew 10:1 "And when He had called His twelve disciple to [Him], He gave them power [over] unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease."
Matthew 10:7-8 "And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give."
Luke 9:2 "He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick."
Luke 10:9 "And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’"
Isaiah 61:1-4-"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."
May the hearts of the children be turned back to Yahveh, our loving Abba Father. May we truly believe in Him and His healing power for us, and may we share that gift we have received freely from Him by healing others through prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit! Deror(Hebrew for freedom)! Freedom!
(P.S. Please read 2 Kings chapter 1; the king sought baal zebub to see if he was going to live, but he got in trouble from YHVH's messenger for not seeking YHVH, the Elohim of Israel. We are not to seek doctors about our problems--we are to seek YHVH)

About Us:)
Well, we are achazel (mel) and binyamin(trei)-- we are doing this as part of our homeschooling--and for fun:) A lot of the blogs will be from binyamin's school reflections on what he read. I'm not good at this kind of thing, so we'll see how far it progresses beyond that:)
Zechariah 10
This is what Zecheriah 10 meant to me. It was how YHVH will gather his people back. He will protect us. We are like little sheep, and He protects us. We are like his war horse. We attack the enemy. I love YHVH.
